Almost every time I see a man or woman in military uniform, I thank them for their service to our country. Many of them hang their head and look a little embarrassed by the attention or recognition. The sacrifices made by our armed men and women and their families are huge, and I feel they should be thanked and recognized as often as possible. So, I love Crown Royal’s commitment to honoring our troops through Camo Care Packages and the Crown Royal Heroes promotions.
Crown Royal Heroes is in its 8th year of celebrating military heroes with Crown Royal’s “Your Hero’s Name Here” program. A few weeks ago I felt like I was living a dream, as I experienced NBA All Star Weekend in New Orleans like a Crown Royal VIP. The Crown Royal Heroes program offers the winner an incredible VIP NASCAR experience at the Brickyard 400.
In 2013, Gunnery Sergeant Samuel Deeds received VIP treatment at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. As part of the celebration, Deeds rode in the honorary pace car, experienced a VIP pit tour, and presented the race trophy to Ryan Newman in Victory Lane. Sergeant Deeds is a lifelong NASCAR fan, and this experience exceeded his wildest dreams! During this weekend’s The Profit on CNBC 500 in Phoenix, 20 military members from Luke Air Force Base will be given a VIP experience from sponsors Packages From Home and Crown Royal!
Two individuals will be recognized as the inaugural program nominees and are eligible to have the legendary Indianapolis race named in their honor this July.
