I am guilty of wearing out my daughter’s Frozen DVD. Since I am confessing, I will admit that I play the movie over and over again, when she’s not home. Sometimes, I will just let it run in the background so I can hear the songs while I cook or clean. I love Frozen. I love Olaf. I love the music.
I just can’t “Let It Go”.
Can you picture me? Hair in a messy haphazard ponytail, old bleached t-shirt with torn jeans and singing my own rendition of “for the First Time in Forever”…
“The window is open, so’s that door
I didn’t know they did that anymore
who knew we owned such a dusty place. “
Clearly I have a love for Frozen. Imagine my excitement when I learned that a new animated short, “Frozen Fever” will be released on March 13, 2015, in theaters prior to the showing of the Walt Disney’s new live action Cinderella movie! This is an awesome frozen treat, for sure!
“Frozen Fever” will reunite the original Frozen film directors Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee along with the famous talents of Anna (Kristen Bell),Elsa (Idina Menzel), Kristoff (Jonathan Groff) and my favorite snowman Olaf (Josh Gad).
“It’s Anna’s birthday and Elsa and Kristoff are determined to give her the best celebration ever, but when Elsa catches a cold, her powers may put more than the party at risk.”
Oh and if a party isn’t enough, it gets better!! You can now add another song to the “Frozen” soundtrack, which was a Billboard top selling album in 2014, spending 33 weeks in the top 5 and 13 of those weeks in the No. 1 spot. Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez wrote the original songs for “Frozen “and have composed the new song and score for the big show.
I can already imagine the flood of dashboard cam videos of parents, their children, and maybe the family dog, belting out their rendition of the new song for the world to see; the next viral video in the making. “Frozen” and the new short have quickly become near and dear to many hearts, like Cinderella, a timeless classic that will be enjoyed for a lifetime.
Do you want to join the party? Of course you do! Check out the “Frozen Fever” preview and then run, walk or ice skate to your nearest theater and watch the story unfold.
