In “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire” Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark have returned to District 12 after surviving the 74th Annual Hunger Games. Everything has a price in the Capitol, and winning is no exception. Now Katniss and Peeta have to cut their celebration with friends and family short, to embark on a “Victor’s Tour” of the districts. Tensions are rising in the districts and rumors are spreading about a rebellion, while the Capitol is busy planning for the 75th Annual Hunger Games (The Quarter Quell) – a competition that promises to change the rules.
Fun fact: “The Hunger Games” was the 13th highest-grossing North American release of all time, grossing almost $700 million at the worldwide box office!
Excitement and anticipation of the sequel, “Catching Fire” continues to grow as songs from the soundtrack are starting to be released. Coldplay recorded the first song on the Catching Fire soundtrack, “Atlas“, and today MTV news has an exclusive clip of the track “Silhouettes“, by Of Monsters and Men.
