AMD FX APU HP Envy Touch

I’m not sure who sent my kids the memo, but somewhere, somehow they discovered gaming. It started slowly as they began to play some Wii games, and then they discovered the Xbox and PS3. Then, they discovered apps on my tablet like ones they use at school, mostly educational apps and games. Now, they’ve discovered Minecraft…..and my laptop.

The good news for me: they take turns with the laptop and tablet. The bad news: the tablet is dying, and I need a laptop for work. Not just a laptop, I need something with a lightning fast processor and plenty of storage for files and photos. I also need a touchscreen, so the kids can navigate between their games and apps independently.

Best Buy has the new, special edition AMD FX APU – HP Envy Touchsmart Laptop with AMD’s most powerful mobile processor and a 750GB hard drive, that I’m adding to my wish list. With award winning graphics and blazing speed, its perfect for working and playing. The HP Envy TouchSmart 15.6” touch screen laptop is the perfect size for home and travel, and I know we’ll use it to stream movies when traveling.

Highlights of the AMD FX Special Edition APU HP Envy laptop

  • Exclusively at Best Buy, the AMD FX Special Edition APU laptop has the processing power of 10 compute cores (4 CPU + 6 GPU)
  • Watch your favorite movies or play games with award winning graphics & Beats Audio

My biggest dilemma: if I buy the AMD FX Special Edition APU, how long before the kids call dibs? Maybe I should buy the laptop for my work, and get the kids another tablet for their gaming. That might work, unless they realize the laptop is faster than their tablet. Hmm….
