I drove the 2015 Hyundai Sonata Sport 2.0T for the first time back in July. You might have read about my experience driving it off the assembly line at HMMA. My first impressions of the Sonata Sport Turbo model, fell in the “take it or leave it” category. The more refined, 2015 Sonata Limited impressed me more, but first impressions are often wrong.
When the 2015 Sonata 2.0 T rolled into my driveway for a two week loan, it was already attracting attention. The kids declared it “fast and fun”, before we’d even left the driveway. My neighbor wanted to know if the Urban Sunset color was called “Longhorn Orange” in Texas. That striking color makes a statement regardless of the state you live in, or road you’re driving on. Bold during the day, its even bolder at night with the HID headlights.
I hopped in and drove it over to a friend’s house so we could run a few errands. We both drive SUVs as our personal vehicles. Hers is a full size and mine is a mid size, so riding in a sedan is sometimes an adjustment. Instead of talking about how we’re riding closer to the ground, we were admiring the contrast stitching on the leather seats.
